‘Dialog cards’ were used to create two-sided flashcards to help students practice, memorize, and reinforce learning. In a two-sided flashcard, one side can contain an image, question, keywords, or concept; the other side contains the answer. Students can flip the digital flashcards to hide or reveal the answer by clicking or tapping. Students self-report their performance by clicking either ‘ I got it right’ or ‘I got it wrong.’ In subsequent rounds, cards with previous incorrect performances will appear more frequently than cards with correct performances, helping students to reinforce the information.
