Genomic literacy is essential for next-gen healthcare professionals to meet the challenges of the post-genomic era. We have curated the dental-specific secondary database, Bioinformatics for Dentistry, to improve genomic literacy among oral health professional students. The data was systematically identified, and compiled from primary databases and peer-reviewed published literature. Users can search and filter the dataset by cellular process, chromosome number, dental disorders, and protein sequence. Database-infused lab activities are designed for dental students to reinforce and supplement their didactic learning of genetics and introduce them to the growing field of genomic and proteomic data.
